Digital Marketing Director

Advantage Media Group | ForbesBooks has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Director with expertise and experience in digital marketing. The Digital Marketing Director would take the lead in developing successful digital marketing strategies for the Advantage brand and our Members.  The Digital Marketing Director has in-depth marketing experience and a passion for digital technologies.    Advantage works with business professionals to position, promote, and market them as the thought leader and expert in their industry, community, or marketplace.

The outcomes expected of this individual are:

  • Design digital marketing strategies to help reach member goals; oversee content creation on behalf of all members within the Authority Institute.
  • Grow the quantity and quality of followers for each client consistently each quarter.  Track and report the total number of followers and engagement per member channel via the Authority Tracker and other internal analytics systems to demonstrate the success of digital marketing efforts.
  • Increase leads generated through online channels.  Present monthly numbers that reflect the effectiveness of strategy based on downloads, form completions, shares and other relevant metrics.
  • Ensure >95% of editorial calendar deadlines are met using original, outsourced or contributor content.  Manage internal and external contributors to ensure timelines are met for e-newsletters, social media posts and other content channels.
  • Strategize, implement and track digital advertising strategies for Members.
  • Remain up-to-date on the latest trends in content mediums, digital advertising, social media and is well-versed in search engine optimization.
  • Recruit, train and retain a team of A players including content writers, social media managers and digital strategist.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to digital marketing teams responsible for deploying digital marketing strategies across multiple channels for a breadth of Members across different business verticals.
  • Lead the development of digital marketing strategies based on an understanding of each Members unique objectives, competitive assessment, market intelligence, cost and ability to deploy.
  • Be a pioneer and thought leader in identifying digital trends to proactively uncover opportunities and source the research and data required to inform strategy development.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and ability to facilitate and manage forecasting, budgeting and pacing, campaign creation and optimization.
  • Drive the digital content strategy and search engine optimization using data and insights.
  • Create a cadence of sharing results based on agreed to key performance indicators with Members, utilizing data across all content platforms to create weekly/monthly reports, including analysis for insights, optimizations and future strategy development
  • Ensure digital content and strategy teams are well-versed in social media trends and producing timely, quality content
  • Coach strategists to increase leads generated through online channels. Monitor numbers that reflect the effectiveness of strategy based on downloads, form completions, shares and other relevant metrics.                                                       
  • Lead digital advertising efforts for Members, monitoring CPC, CPL, and other relevant metrics

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading and managing digital marketing, digital advertising, and web projects.
  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience in a fast-paced, progressive organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Work closely with website operations teams for implementations and improvements.
  • A proven track record of creating and translating strategic plans into actionable, results-oriented activities.
  • Strong project management skills and able to set expectations accordingly based on business requirements.
  • Ability to synthesize market dynamics, consumer behavior and tactics to produce results.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills combined with the ability to influence others and act as a team player.
  • Analytical mindset is a must.
