Marketing Account Manager

Advantage Media Group has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager with expertise and experience in marketing. Advantage works with top tier business professionals to position, promote, and market them as the thought leader and expert in their industry, community, or marketplace.

The mission for the Account Manager is to serve as a marketing consultant, strategic marketing advisor, and account lead for clients participating in our Authority Marketing System, which includes publicity, social media, content marketing, and web development. The Account manager will lead a team in delivering all elements of the Authority Marketing System for each client every month. Each account team serves 14-20 Authority Institute/ForbesBooks Members simultaneously as well as 30-50 publishing only clients.

The Account Manager will lead their team in delivering world class service and creating an “Enjoyable, Fun, and Prosperous membership experience” for each client. Success will be reflected by a client’s retention in the Authority Marketing System.

The outcomes expected of this individual are:

  • Ensure a retention rate of >90% to full term of the contract.
  • Ensure that less than 10% of new Members stall.
  • Create a >50% renewal rate.
  • Contact 100% of clients each week.

  • Aggressiveness - Moves quickly and takes a forceful stand without being overly abrasive.
  • Attention to Detail - Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Must have passion for marketing.
  • Must be extremely eloquent and persuasive in presenting marketing to others.
  • Must be resourceful and able to overcome obstacles on his/her own.
  • Superior communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to change and adapt to new processes, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • 4 year degree required.


Positions are in our Charleston, SC office. Team Members are eligible for benefits package after a 3 month review.
