President of Advantage Marketing

Advantage Media Group/ForbesBooks has an exciting opportunity for a talented manager who will lead and grow our Advantage Marketing business unit which includes digital marketing, content marketing, branding, publicity, and account/project management. You will oversee multiple Account Teams responsible for executing the delivery of marketing services for our Members.

The mission for the President of Advantage Marketing is to grow the Advantage Marketing team so we may scale to 1000 active Members by 2018. The President of the Advantage Marketing business unit will be responsible for growing a team in quantity and quality of people and will be THE responsible party for ensuring the business unit hits its goals.

The outcomes expected of this individual are:

  • Strategically design your business unit to seamlessly scale to serve 1000 active Members by December 31, 2018. Implement systems and processes to automate and improve the service delivery process.  Create “work smart” team systems that support the top notch delivery of services for 100% of Members. 
  • Ensure >80% of Members achieve a return on their investment, grow their business and renew their membership. Instill reporting rhythms to inform your data driven decision making necessary to scale the business and the businesses of our members.
  • Manage and coach 4 - 8 direct reports - Serve as manager for Functional Leads, coaching them and continually improving their performance and skills. Meet weekly with up to 8 direct reports and train them as managers and performance coaches.
  • Average Net Promoter Score of >60 for Members completing Marketing. Your team is responsible for ensuring Member satisfaction by making their marketing experience Enjoyable, Fulfilling, and Prosperous while helping the Member grow their business.
  • Build an Advantage Marketing team composed of >90% A or A-Potential Players. Recruit, hire, train, coach, develop, and nurture. Stringently measure and hold your people accountable. Ensure consistent use of the Topgrading method for hiring each position. Remove poor performers quickly.
  • Contribute to the leadership team meetings, strategy and planning sessions. Be a leader for the company and a role model and teacher for internal Team Members. Lead daily and weekly meetings, foster culture and build an environment for success.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • At least 8 years of managing/leading others and experience in a marketing environment
  • Leader within a marketing agency
  • 4 year college degree

 

Position’s direct reports include select Function Leaders and Team Leaders in business unit. Position reports to the CEO. Limited business travel is required.
