Office and Business Development Assistant

The mission for the Concierge and Office Assistant is to receive guests and phone calls, organize office supplies, and catering orders. He or she will act as the initial contact for general communication and to take care of the necessary day-to-day tasks of the front desk and guest events. As a Concierge, the purpose is to coordinate day-long meetings between interdepartmental members of the team as well as clients. 

The outcomes expected of this individual in are:

  • Spend 90% of time at desk to be available to receive guests and phone calls, and understand the business in a capacity to direct phone calls and visitors appropriately.
  • Ensure conference room, kitchen, and closet, organization and cleanliness.
  • Assist with office supply ordering and inventory.
  • Manage client gifting.
  • Order, set up, and break down catering for office events.
  • Manage set up, break down, food, and beverage duties during on-site client meetings three days/week on average.
  • Work with several busy individuals to coordinate schedules for client on-site days.
  • Arrange travel and lodging for guests.

  • Excellent communication skills. Speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative. Maintains this standard in all forms of written communication, including email.

  • Attention to detail. Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
  • Efficiency. Able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort.
  • Organization.
  • Proactivity. Acts without being told what to do. Has an ability to foresee needs before they arise.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Familiarity with expected conduct in a professional setting.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and confidently.
  • Ability to multitask and remain in tune to intermittent needs.
  • Prior experience in administrative/support role is preferred.

Position is in our Charleston, SC headquarters. Full Time Team Members are eligible for benefits package after a 3 month review.
